The Praja Sankalpa Yatra undertaken by President YSRCP Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy entered the Anantapur district on Monday. Speaking at a public meeting in Gooty as part of the yatra, Reddy strongly criticized the TDP rule. “People from various walks of the Guntakal constituency met me and told me that their salaries had been on hold for several months now. Gooty’s model school teachers told me they had not received their salary in the last few months. How does the government expect them to teach students and ensure that the school remains a model with a high percentage of success? Asked Mr. Reddy.
Earlier in the day, Mr. Reddy entered the district by Basinepalli. Reddy said corruption was rampant throughout the state and that the days of the Telugu Desam government were numbered. “Recently, Prime Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu called on his cadres to prepare for the elections themselves. You must ask yourself if you want a liar and a cheater as your leader,” said Mr. Reddy. Earlier in the day, when women were reporting drinking water woes, he said the YSRCP, if elected, would not only provide clean water but also provide housing for the poor.
