YSR party chairman Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy arrived in Kurnool on Tuesday where he assured stone polishing units in the town of Betamcherla that royalty rates would be lowered. Jagan said he was confident he would win 130 seats in the next general election if he received the same public response. He said that no section of the company was satisfied with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, adding that he was “happy with the Yatra undertaken so far”.

Speaking at a rally in Betamcherla town, the home of Dona Buggana deputy Rajender Reddy, Jagan said his priority was to create better health infrastructure in the state. Revive the super popular Arogyasri system of his late father Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, he imitated the sound of an ambulance as inaugurating Rajanna Rajyam. Covering all the ills including cancer and kidney disease and paying a pension to patients were on his agenda. He said, “The treatment of cancer, heart and kidneys is expensive; The government of Chandrababu Naidu does not care about your health. Will provide free surgery and procedure for each illness. YSRCP will reimburse the kidney replacement fee and increase the pension to patients at Rs 10,000.

He also promised to fill the tanks built by the medieval king of Vijayanagara, Krishandevaraya and irrigate the fields of Rayalaseema. He reminded Mr. Naidu of the creation of a Mines University in Dhone.
